Strike Back: Palwasha Calls for Action on Indian Dams
Senator Palwasha Khan on Wednesday demanded missile strikes on Indian dams to destroy all water structures that block Pakistan’s share of rivers under the Indus Waters Treaty.
Her comment comes after DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed that the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project was damaged during recent Indian attacks. In a media briefing today, he confirmed that India targeted the dam despite it being a protected structure under the Indus Water Treaty.
Palwasha specifically called for targeting the Baglihar Dam in retaliation for India’s reported attack on the Neelum-Jhelum hydropower project.
The senator added that every dam in India obstructing water to Pakistan must be destroyed to ensure the natural flow resumes in the Ravi, Jhelum, Chenab, Beas, and Indus rivers.
Palwasha accused India of deliberately targeting civilian areas, including children and the elderly, and said such actions require a response strong enough to deter future attacks.
She also praised the Pakistan Air Force for effectively neutralizing Indian Rafale aircraft.
