Pakistan Customs Revises iPhone Custom Duties for 2025

Pakistan Customs has officially announced revised custom duties for iPhones under the new Valuation Ruling 1909 of 2025. According to the latest update, the duty for importing iPhones will now start from Rs168,000 and can reach up to Rs412,500, depending on the model and storage capacity.

This change affects the latest iPhone 16, iPhone 15, and earlier models. The customs department reviewed 90 days of import data and consulted with industry experts before finalizing the updated valuation. The new rates aim to better reflect the international market trends and the current value of smartphones in Pakistan.

For older iPhone models, the valuation also includes depreciation adjustments. This move is expected to help balance the cost structure for importers and ensure fair pricing in the local market. By considering real-time market values and allowing depreciation for outdated models, Pakistan Customs hopes to bring more transparency and fairness to the smartphone import sector.

Officials expect that the updated custom duties will influence iPhone import costs, potentially impacting local retail prices. Importers and consumers alike may feel the effect of these new rates, especially with premium models like the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The updated ruling represents a step toward aligning Pakistan’s smartphone import policies with global practices, ensuring that custom duties are not only competitive but also reflective of actual device values.
